The second issue of Galactica Media covers a wide range of topics in the field of media and communications. It addresses general theoretical questions, including digital anthropology and a comparative analysis of screen and book cultures. In the study of cinema, it analyzes adaptations of literary works and historical films. Issues in new media and communications include the use of social networks, social comparison, youth self-esteem, real-time branding, and channels for spreading fake news. Topics in media security touch on the mediation of school shootings and the perception of violence in an interdisciplinary context. The media ecology section is dedicated to a critical analysis of interfaces and the media archaeology of digital devices. Miscellaneous section discuss the prospects of territorial branding in the context of the experience economy. The review section section features a review of a book on Descartes.
